North Scott High School held its 38th annual Honors Assembly earlier this month and honored students who had excelled in the classroom. Sophomores, juniors and seniors who had GPAs of 3.5 or higher for the previous two semesters were honored in an evening ceremony in the school's Fine Arts Auditorium.
The evening's guest speaker was 2019Hall of Excellence honoree Kevin McKee, a two-time Paralympic gold medalist. Freshmen who attained perfect 4.0 GPAs for the first semester served as ushers for the event. Those students included Katherine Anderson, Mackenzie Bohr, Sophia Crawford, Savannah Connor, Lucas Crawford, Wyatt Crouse, Kendall Deutmeyer, Caelan Engelbrecht, Ava Garrard, Joseph Knepper, Austin Lee, Ella McLaughlin, Madison McNealey, Matthew Mize, Nicholas Piazza, Caden Romero, Issac Simmons, Peyton Wenck and Kaitlyn Wood.
