Scott County 4-Hers spend eight days at the fairgrounds last week—the culmination of a year's worth of feeding, breeding and training.
The full results—and pictures of every champion—will appear in next week’s North Scott Press.
The dog show began Monday, before the fairgrounds opened to the public. Goats and sheep followed on Tuesday, with meat goats in the morning, sheep in the afternoon, and dairy goats in the evening.
Cows mooved on in Wednesday: dairy cows in the morning, breeding beef in the afternoon. By Thursday, activities had migrated to the SMA building for the daylong egg and poultry show.
Cattle came on Friday, with a market beef show in the morning. Adorable bucket calves followed in the afternoon.
Swine and rabbit shows played out in parallel Saturday morning, followed by the horse show Sunday afternoon—the end of 4-H at the 2026 Mississippi Valley Fair.
