Table surfing resulted in carnage as more than one shoe flew across the floor of The Pit in the process.
Senior Behren Radech looks for a little emotional support — and possibly some water — as he attempts to eat half of a pizza. While his classmates cheered him on, Radech was very nearly successful in his quest before the game was called for time.

On Friday, Sept. 19, North Scott students gathered in The Pit to find out who was named to the Homecoming court. But before the announcement came a series of games, including table surfing, a pizza-eating contest and a sumo competition that pitted students in inflatable balls against each other. The pep rally, which was emceed by student government leaders Charlotte Madden and Grady Kirst, also featured performances by the Silver Shakers and the North Scott drumline. After the announcement, the court battled it out against teams of teachers in a relay, which was won by a group of female teachers. Then the court led the student body in a cheer, which resulted in the junior class winning the Spirit Stick — much to the dismay of the seniors. NSP photos by Erin M. Gentz.
