9:15 A.M. - Walcott: Cory Clark works on a 1962 Chevy Impala at B&D Automotive. After an engine overhaul, this restoration will be ready for the body shop. Clark owns B&D with partner Jerry Badtram, who has been at the shop for 30 years.

9:30 a.m. - West Liberty: Ready, set, go! West Liberty Christian Fellowship Church held VBS this week. This years' theme was “In the Wild,” perfect for the more than 60 tykes from the community who attended.

Barb Reesink, who lives along Highway 38 between Wilton and Muscatine, with her husband, John, shows her hands after working for a day in the large garden surrounding her farmhouse. She joked that she’s never able to get a manicure, thanks to always working in the soil.
