Sharps to celebrate 50th anniversary with open house

Rick and Donna Sharp will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on April 6. Rick Sharp and Donna Wynn were married in Knoxville, Iowa, at the First United Methodist Church in 1974. Rick was a work experience coordinator at Davenport Central High School. He owned Sharp Driving School for 19 years and taught over 3,000 area students. Donna was an art teacher at North Scott Junior High for 35 years.

Their children are Adrianne and C. Allyn Slack, Erica and Jason Thomas, Brittaney Sharp and fiancé Zack Filling, and Alexandria Sharp and boyfriend Kyle Chrismer. Their five grandchildren are Zane Slack and fiancée Alexandria Diehl, Vivian and Roscoe Slack, and Brody and Cameron Thomas.

All family, friends and former students are invited to help celebrate on April 6 at the Eldridge Public Library meeting room from 1-4 p.m.
