The Eldridge Police Department won the second annual Battle of the Badges softball game, defeating the Eldridge Fire Department 21-11. While the police may have scored more points, the real winners are the children across Scott County who will receive Christmas gifts, as proceeds from the event will benefit the fire department's toy drive. In between innings, the crowd also enjoyed a performance by Tina's Dance Studio, and a footrace between Sparky the Fire Dog and Chase from Paw Patrol — where Sparky came out on top.
