Timothy John Baughman, age 67, of Canyon Country, Calif., passed away on March 26, 2024, after a brave battle with prostate cancer.
Tim was cared for by his amazing friends, Carl and Starr, along with Mr. Ed.
Tim was born to John Del and Lora Jean (Ott) Baughman on July 30, 1956, in Long Grove. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1974. He tried the University of Iowa, but soon fled to California via Texas. He loved California, and although he would dutifully come back for family functions, he was always ready to get back to his home of almost 50 years.
He loved motorcycles in general and Harleys in particular. So, after roofing, gutter, laying carpet, Tim finally found the perfect career at a custom shock absorber shop, where he was described as “a wonderful asset to Worx Shocks, his knowledge in all motorcycle suspension will be greatly missed. He was always the first to arrive and the first to leave, lol.”
Other than Carl, Starr and Ed, Tim leaves behind the sisters he had to lovingly tolerate his whole life, Denise, Michelle and Tracy.
Denise (Don) Westman in Minnesota, Michelle (Chuck) Allaman from Florida, and Tracy (Jim) Welch, on the family farm in Iowa. His sister-in-law, Valerie Baughman was a big part of his life. Aunt Leann Graves was always there for him. He also loved his nieces and nephews, along with all their children.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; brother Matthew Baughman; sister Kristin Schwarz; his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Velma Ott; and his beloved Gr and Gr B, Lester and Blanche Baughman.
We will celebrate his life this summer.
