Sharon K. Freund, 77, of Mission, Texas, formerly of Park View, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her residence.
A memorial mass was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Inurnment was at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sharon was born on Aug. 12, 1945, in Carroll, the daughter of Howard “Bill” and Doris (Lohman) Morris. On June 12, 1965, she married Kenneth P. Freund in Davenport. Sharon worked as a waitress at the Davenport Moose Club and the Holiday Inn. She was a lifetime member of the Moose Club and enjoyed doing crafts and bowling.
Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Ken Freund of Mission, Texas; her children, Beth (Dave) Downing of Blue Grass, Dawn (Dave) Neuses of Moline, Kellie Freund of Bettendorf, Kim (Matt) Wehmeyer of Washington, Mo., and Kenny A. Freund of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren, Ashley Freund, Levi Freund, and Allie Neuses; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother and sisters-in-law, Michael Freund of Davenport, Julie (Joe) Grant of Eldridge, Kathy (Steve) Murrens of Davenport, and Wendy Freund of Spring, Texas; and her beloved canine companion, Bubba.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Morris; brother-in-law, Bob Freund; and sister-in-law, Marsha Freund.
