A private family funeral service for Roger William Jepsen, former U.S. Senator from Iowa, will be held Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial with military honors will be in Davenport Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Sen. Jepsen died Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Roger Jepsen was born in 1928 on the family farm near Cedar Falls.
He married Dee Delaney in 1958.
Survivors include his wife; his daughters, Ann Carruthers and Debbie Geisler, both of Davenport; his sons, Jeffrey, Annandale, Va., Craig (Pat), Long Grove, and Coy (Alicia), St. Cloud, Minn.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Nymann, George Town, Texas.
