Mark was born on Sept. 11, 1961, the son of Ben and Loretta (Hayne) Beitel in Davenport. He graduated from Davenport West High School with the Class of 1979. Mark married Jill Niebuhr in 1986 in Davenport.
Mark was a farm equipment enthusiast whose passion for machinery and history shone through every aspect of his life. In his earlier years, he could often be found at farm sales, always hunting for deals and carefully searching for the perfect relic to add to his growing collection. His love for Farmall tractors and memorabilia became not only a treasured hobby but a reflection of his deep appreciation for the legacy of farming and a hard day’s work.
A talented mechanic and carpenter, Mark had a gift for woodworking and bringing such projects to life. Whether it was a tractor, another piece of equipment, home improvement, or a vehicle in need of attention, he took pride in every project and found joy in the process. His skill and attention to detail were matched only by his enthusiasm for sharing what he learned with others including his daughter, Alyssa.
Beyond his mechanical pursuits, Mark cherished time spent with his family. He especially enjoyed traveling with them out west to Yellowstone and other scenic destinations, where he could take in the beauty of the open land and be one with nature.
Mark will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Alyssa (Brett) Marbach of Manchester; and one brother, Darren (LaDonna) Beitel of Davenport.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Loretta; and one sister, Cyndi Beitel.
