Obituary: Marian Harry

Marian F. Harry, 90, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Our Lady of the River Catholic Church, LeClaire. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Princeton. Memorials may be directed to Our Lady of the River Catholic Church. Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marian was born July 8, 1931, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Francis and Adelia (Roelfs) Bigler. On July 12, 1952, she was united in marriage to Leon Harry in Peoria, Ill. Marian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband of almost 70 years, Leon Harry of Princeton; daughters, Cindy Harry of Bettendorf, Lisa (Steve) Hampton of Bettendorf; sons, Jeff Harry of Boulder Hill, Ill., Terry (Kathy) Harry of Bettendorf, Joel (Debbie) Harry of Princeton, Andy (Yvette) Harry of Princeton; 12 grandchildren, Chad (Laura), Steve, Julie, Jake (Samantha), Michael, Brian (Kelly), Kelsey (Kevin), Jessica (Brent), Keegan, Tyler (Desi), Logan, Emily; 10 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; and also many cherished friends and extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Peter.
