Obituary: Harold Lohmann

Harold R. “Red” Lohmann, 80, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Wheatland and Dixon, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, at Parklane West Healthcare Center. Per his request, no services were held, and burial was in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.

He was born Feb. 26, 1943, in Bartlesville, Okla., the son of Harold R. and Beulah (Carman) Lohmann.

He married Jeanne Hoffman on Oct. 19, 1964, in Mt. Clemens, Mich.

He was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and was employed as an over-the-road trucker.

He was a member of the American Legion, past master of his Masonic Lodge and 33 degree Scottish Rite. Red enjoyed delivering dental kits to first graders in San Antonio for the Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; a daughter, Jessica (Mike) Weaver; his sons, Wade and Chad; a brother, David (Jacque) Lohmann; and a sister, Mary (Lynn) Ketelsen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bruce.
