Evelyn A. Gullion, 86, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at the Davenport Lutheran Home.
The family will greet friends 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in the Runge Chapel, with burial to follow at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Scott County 4-H or Gilda’s Club Davenport. Evelyn was born in rural Scott County, east of Eldridge, on Oct. 21, 1936, to Edwin and Emma (Stoltenberg) Peters.
Evelyn was raised on the farm and eventually worked as a teller at Davenport Bank for 20-plus years. In March of 1975, was she was united in marriage to Earl Gullion in Davenport. He preceded her in death Nov. 26, 2021.
Evelyn enjoyed working in her flower garden, taking bus trips with the NW Bank tours, fishing with Earl and family, and bowling in the Mother Goose bowling league at 30 Lanes.
Survivors include children, Michael (Patti) Gullion, Florida, Randy (Mary) Gullion, Davenport, and Karen Ames, Bettendorf; grandchildren Joelyn, Jill, Lexie, Mike, Adam, Justin, Kent, Heather, Ryan, and Nicole; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings.
