Obituary: Elizabeth Goodwin

Elizabeth A. Goodwin, 73, of Davenport, died Monday, May 4, 2020. Due to current restrictions, a private funeral service was held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elizabeth Ouderkirk was born Sept. 24, 1946, in Iowa, the daughter of Milton and Ethel (Hunter) Ouderkirk. She graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1964.

She married David Goodwin on July 22, 1967.

She worked at various businesses including Simon and Landauer, Lindquist Ford, and River City Ford, and retired in 2004.

She was active in her church and served on the Altar Guild and sang in the choir.

Her hobbies were spending time with her family, bowling, photography, making photo cards, and taking road trips.

Survivors include her husband; her daughter, Laura (James) VanPatten, Cedar Falls, and Rachel (Lloyd) Tenney, Davenport; her grandchildren, Justa Goodwin, Abigail (Garrett) Freeman, Grace, Andrew and Emma VanPatten, Nickolas and Joshua Tenney, and Ashley (Quinn) Schroeder; a great-grandchild and her brothers, Alan, Dean, Loran (MiRang), Gregory, Rodney (Judy), and Gordon (Judy) Ouderkirk.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Ouderkirk, and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Ouderkirk.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Moline or to the family.
