Elaine Elsie Meinert, age 78, formerly of Davenport, peacefully passed Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at Accura Nursing Home in Toledo, Iowa. A private Celebration of Life will be held later.
Elaine was born Nov. 2, 1946, the daughter of Orval and Helen Hamann Meinert in Davenport. She graduated from Durant High School and attended ISU. She married and later divorced Allen Hartz.
Her lifetime work was “Elaine’s Expressions” where she worked as a professional beautician, arranged flowers, and crafted. Her snowmen were amazing!
Elaine is survived by children Troy (Cheri) Hartz of Montezuma, Scott (Jen Henke) Hartz of Bettendorf, and Amber (Jay) Moser of Des Moines, five grandchildren, Tara, Calvin, Lilly, Levi, and Erin, and seven great-grandchildren, Elouise, Atticus, Ryker, Riggs, Reata, Hadley, and Rory, and sister Donna (Harris) Schneekloth.
