Funeral services will be held at a later date for Todd Leroy Groharing Sr., 60, of Davenport. Inurnment will follow the services in the Blue Grass Cemetery. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Groharing died Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport.
Todd Groharing was born Oct. 18. 1959, in Davenport, the son of Herbert and Jean (Ade) Groharing.
He married Kathy Hughes on July 1, 1995, in Asheville, N.C.
He worked as a welder for Mid America Energy for 27 years. He was also an active farmer for many years.
He was a member of the Davenport chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association. He served on the board for the poultry show at the Mississippi Valley Fair. He was a 4-H leader for his children, as well as a Dad’s Club coach.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Todd (Stephanie) Groharing Jr., Jacob Groharing, Heather Waitman-Groharing, Nicholas (Megan) Waitman-Groharing, and Meredith Groharing; his grandchildren, Zachary, Alexis, Lilly, Garret, Dalton, Vanelope, and Tallulah; and his sisters, Gwen (Ken) Caster and Ruth (John) Smolenski.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Christine Timmerman; and a brother, Greg Groharing.
