Timothy Lee "Tim" Dixon, 66, of Seymour, Tenn., passed away on Oct. 5, 2023. Born Aug. 21, 1957, to Clyde and Mary Ellen Dixon of Peoria, Ill.

Tim was a devoted and loving husband to Marcy, and the family "fixer" of all things! Whether a "honey do" task, a broken heart or anything in-between -- Tim was the MAN for the job! He could be counted on for an amazing hug, a word of advice, a hearty laugh and to show up as the loving father/husband for all occasions and needs. Tim was an avid traveler and loved his friends. He was especially fond of being a doting PAPA to his grandkids and we may be biased but he was the absolute best PAPA ever and he always had a grandkid big or small on his lap! Tim had a beautiful, soulful singing voice. Many family occasions were blessed with songs he specially selected to celebrate those held dear.  Loved ones knew him as a fiercely dedicated and loyal protector with a side of funny.  A stern word followed by his quick wit was a reminder he cherished you. Tim was the embodiment of his family's guardian angel on earth.  Family and friends draw comfort knowing he continues that role, though his presence among them will be dearly missed.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Marcy Dixon; his son Matthew (Chantelle) Dixon; his daughters Rochelle (Rob) Kolar and Erin (Jay Cronin) Perry; his granddaughters Angelina Fenn, Faith and Hadleigh Perry; and his grandsons Emmett and Connor Dixon. He is also survived by his brother Tom (Dianna) Dixon. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mary Ellen Dixon.

An inTIMate gathering of close family and friends will be held on Oct. 21, in Maryville, Tenn., to honor Tim's life. A larger Celebration of Life will be held "back home" in the Midwest next July, details to be shared at a later date.
