Thomas J. Barnet, 85, of Davenport, died Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Per his wishes, cremation will take place, and private inurnment will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Barnet was born Sept. 7, 1937, in Moline, the son of James and Marjorie (Veith) Barnet.
He married Vanita Lafrenz on Sept. 29, 1956, in Darmstadt, Germany.
Survivors include his wife; daughters Tammy (Jerry) Neff and Vicki (Sam “Chip”) Sloan; three granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; sisters Barb and Becky; and brothers Tony and Mike.
