Obituary: Myron Puck

A funeral service for Myron Lee Puck, 82, of Stockton, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Blue Grass Presbyterian Church. Interment was in the Walcott Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, April 19, from 4-7 p.m. at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant.

Mr. Puck died Monday, April 15, 2019, at Courtyard Estates of Walcott.

Myron Puck was born June 24, 1936, in Davenport, the son of Adolph and Ella (Glaser) Puck. He graduated from Davenport High School in 1954.

He married LaVerda Bergert on June 8, 1957, in Davenport. She died Nov. 2, 2017.

He farmed in Muscatine County.

He was a past member of the board of directors of the Walcott Elevator, a former 4-H leader, and a member of the Golden Guernsey Association.

His hobbies were attending county fairs and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelley (David) Moses, Davenport; his sons, Kelvin (Marianne) Puck, Stockton, and Kraig Puck, Muscatine; his grandchildren, Audie Puck, Melissa (Jacob) Peeters, Mindy (Cain) Kahl, Mandy (Griffin) Paulson, Emily and Erin Puck; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Marlene Kaczinski; and a brother, Robert (Arlene) Kappeler.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Warnecke; and a brother, Wayne Kappeler.

Memorials may be made to the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church or the Myron Puck Memorial Fund.
