A funeral service for Loras J. Burkle, 65, of LeClaire, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 (today), at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bettendorf. The service will be livestreamed by visiting OurSaviorBett.org at the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 5-7 p.m. at the church. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Burkle died Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at his home.
Loras Burkle was born Oct. 13, 1956, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of James and Delores (Sellner) Burkle.
He married Michelle F. Anderson on June 15, 2010, in Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle; his children, Austin Burkle, Redondo Beach, Calif., Justin (Jane) Shoemaker, Davenport, and Trisha (Andrew) Piotter, Bettendorf; seven grandchildren; his mother, Delores Burkle, Earlville, Iowa; his sisters, Karen (Jerry) Freiburger, Dubuque, and Connie (Dan) Wheeler and Marsha (Lyle) Helle, all of Earlville; and a brother, Wayne (Marcia) Burkle, Manchester.
