A memorial service for Jerold Lynn (Jerry) Wiese, 79, of Des Moines, was held July 6 at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
Mr. Wiese died Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines.
He was born May 8, 1944, in Davenport, the son of Elmer T. and Leah A. (Hesse) Wiese.
He married Rosemary Witt in 1967.
Survivors include his daughter, Krista Wiese; his son, Jeffery Wiese; a special friend, Darlene Squier; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Gary Wiese, and Merle (Dianna) Wiese.
