A funeral service celebrating the life of Erma Wilma “Pinky” Stalnaker, 90, of Eldridge, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the mortuary. Burial and graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at Hillside Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.
Mrs. Stalnaker died Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Grand Haven Retirement Community Center, Eldridge.
Erma Stephens was born July 6, 1928, in Akron, the daughter of Sivey and Gula (Somerville) Stephens.
She married Earl Stalnaker on Aug. 31, 1944, in Covington, N.Y. He died in March of 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Dan) Wilson, Pepper Pike, Ohio; two sons, Russell (Susan) Stalnaker, Westerville, Ohio, and Richard (Charlene) Stalnaker, Flagler Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lionel.
