Charles R. Mepham Sr, 84 of Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Donahue, passed away on March 13, 2023, at Tennova Hospital, Clarksville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Christ Lutheran Church, 2425 Kirkwood Road, Clarksville, TN, 37043. Charles was born on Dec. 21, 1938, in Davenport, to George and Frances (Cardin) Mepham. Charles proudly enlisted in the United States Navy in 1958 and served until his retirement in 1978. He was united in marriage to Joyce Marland on Dec. 13, 1963, at Norfolk Naval Base. Charles was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. His pleasure and passion was model railroading.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce; children, Charles “Chad” Jr. (Cindy) Mepham, Blain (Leslie Rolley) Mepham; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dru Cook; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Ian Mepham, Aaron Mepham; and one brother, Tom Mepham.
