Jim and Cherrie Goetsch to note 50 years of marriage

Jim and Cherrie Goetsch of Long Grove will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Friday, Oct. 27. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 4-7 p.m. at the Masonic Center, 511 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Davenport. The couple requests casual attire (jeans) and no gifts, please. If you like, you may make a donation to a favorite charity.

Cherrie Kruse and Jim Goetsch were married Oct. 27, 1973, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport.

Mr. Goetsch was employed as a millwright at ALCOA, retiring in 2000.

Mrs. Goetsch was employed as a paraeducator with Davenport Schools, retiring in 2013.

They are the parents of January (Brad) Ratliff of West Branch, and Jason (Whitney) Goetsch of Davenport.

They have three grandchildren: Harper Goetsch, Arthur Goetsch, and Ryan Ratliff.
