Linda and I stepped away from the Midwest freeze last week, but it wasn't much warmer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The temperature was 32 and there was frost on our windshield when we started home Sunday morning. But that was short-lived. The grass is green and the flowers are in bloom there, so it warmed up quickly and actually it was quite comfortable. The temperature was 73 when we went to a reception for the Rotary Peace Scholars at the North Carolina Botanical Center Friday evening. (We saw that it was 15 degrees here. Saturday's Special Olympics games were canceled!)
