Hamann-Ibarra vows to be said Sept. 16

Elizabeth Hamann of Long Grove and Eric Ibarra of Romeoville, Ill., are engaged to be married.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Laura Paulsen of LeClaire, and Curtis Hamann of Long Grove, and the granddaughter of the late Walter and Marian Hamann, James Holliday and Robert Wages and Mary Wages. She graduated from North Scott High School and from the University of Dubuque in 2019 with a bachelor of science in nursing. For the last three-and-a-half years, she has been working as a NICU nurse. In August, she will be switching to work as a pediatric transport nurse for Advocate Health Care in Elmhurst, Ill.

Eric is the son of Cathy Camacho of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Arnulfo Ibarra of Durango, Mexico, and the grandson of Jose and Gabina Ibarra and Julio and Lydia Camacho. He graduated from Romeoville High School and from the University of Dubuque in 2019 with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice. He has worked as a correctional officer in Iowa and as a residential officer. He is currently working at Teledyne in Woodridge, Ill., while seeking employment in the criminal justice field.

The couple will be married at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at Olde St. Ann’s Church, 18817 290th St., Long Grove. JoAnn Egan of Lockport, Ill., will officiate the ceremony.

Marissa Rothschadl will serve as matron of honor. Bridesmaids will be Stephanie Skinner, Paeyton Schofield, Baylee Noll, Karina Ikuta, Jailene Perez and Stacia Bunders, and the flower girl will be Ava Tello.

Jr. Ibarra and Danny Daniels will serve as best men. Groomsmen will be Andy Gruenwald, Roger Fox, Bryan Gramajo, Dexter Hamann, Javi Martinez and Bobby Tello, and the ring bearer will be Sol Carlon-Tatum. RJ Louck and Nicholas Louck will serve as ushers.

A reception will be held following the ceremony at the Eldridge Community Center, 400 S. 16th Ave., with entertainment by Tiny Tunes Entertainment.

Following a honeymoon trip to Mykonos, Greece, the couple will reside in Romeoville.
