Sergeant says department treated 'like ugly stepchild'

Eldridge council members approved more than $30,000 in police equipment and services in a contentious, three-hour meeting Monday where interim chief Joe Sisler, and newly promoted interim Sgt. Andrew Lellig accused the council of disrespecting the department and its personnel.
