Dick was born Feb. 25, 1941 in New Liberty. He married his wife Carolyn in Durant in 1968.
He was the founder of DICA; his three sons now run the business. Dick is an Army veteran, enjoys golf with his wife and family, was a member of the first Durant High School football team, a member of the Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, a member of the Association of Equipment Managers (AEM), the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), and active with the Lake Panorama Association.
His children include Kris (Lori) Koberg, Cedar Rapids; Kevin (Joy) Koberg, Alpine, California; Kerry (Kelly) Koberg, Adel; and Katie Koberg, Dallas, Texas.
Grandchildren are Conner Koberg, Cade Koberg, Kelsey Koberg, Presely Koberg, Piper Koberg, Jackson Koberg, Ava Koberg and Andrew Koberg.
