Beverly Mae Meyer, age 86, of New Liberty, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Genesis East Medical Centerl, Davenport, Iowa.
A visitation was held Friday, May 3, 2024, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. The funeral service was held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. The service was live-streamed on the Bentley Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial took place in Dixon Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

Bev was born on Jan. 1, 1938, the daughter of Lester and Florence (Laschanzky) Sievers in Davenport. She graduated from Durant High School in 1956. After graduation, she married Willy Meyer on July 7, 1956, celebrating 65 years of marriage.
Bev devoted her life to her family and the Meyer Family Farms. Willy and Bev raised their family and farmed in the New Liberty/Dixon area. The Meyer Family Farms were recently recognized as Century and Heritage Farms. Bev enjoyed many years of following her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in their sports and 4-H activities. She was also a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Women’s Basketball. Bev was a member of the Dixon American Legion Auxiliary for many years.
Bev is survived by her four children, Kerry (Dawn) Meyer of Stockton, Iowa, Rick (Shari) Meyer of New Liberty, Iowa, JoDee Meyer (Sherri Hankins) of Lake Ozark, Missouri, and Rob (Jody) Meyer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; ten grandchildren, Mandy (Drew) Kettwick, Jamey (Kara) Meyer, Katey (Cody) Wille, Jackee (Marques) Ellis, Devin (Lindsey) Meyer, Dustin (Tess) Meyer, Ashley (Alex) Theobald, Avery Meyer, Paxton Meyer, and Breckin Meyer; sixteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and many lifelong friends.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Willy Meyer in 2021; her parents; a brother, Donavon, and sister-in-law, Lynn.
