On Monday, March 9, the Wilton City Council approved the bid of $595,557.50 from Triple B Construction for the replacement of the Cedar Street water main. Of the six bids received, this was the low bid and approximately 20% below the engineer’s estimate of $722,020. The main was identified as one of the five worst mains in the city. It has had several breaks in the last few years. The new main will run between Division and 6th Street and branch a little at points onto York and Iowa Streets.
