Throughout his life, the late Fr. Guillermo Treviño Jr. did what he could to try and help others, both within the churches he served and the communities he lived in. Now, those who knew Treviño the best are hoping to carry on his spirit and help others achieve their dreams.

The Durant Community School District will be slightly increasing the prices for some of its student meals, as well as its milk prices, as recommended by district business manager Gabrielle Speth. These price adjustments were approved during the Durant School Board’s June 9 meeting.

Over the past six months, the West Liberty Police Department and the West Liberty City Council have been hearing concerns from residents in regards to the department’s officers, with a steep rise in traffic stops, an alleged aggressiveness in the field, and feelings of being targeted being the top concerns.
