Shelly Dee (Brenner) Hicks, 55, of Stover, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born Feb. 18, 1967, in Muscatine, the daughter of William Brenner and Linda (Lincoln) Zurmiller.
Shelly was a 1986 graduate of Morgan County R-1 School. She worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant, in a factory and was manager of Dollar General for a time.
She was a very giving person and was always there when you needed someone. She was the life of the party and there was never a dull moment with her. She loved her farm life - cows, dogs, fishing and working outside. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters including Samantha Smith of Lebanon and Brittany Brown (Anthony) of Versailles, as well as her mother, Linda Zurmiller of Stover and her fiancé, Danny Kerksiek of the home. Also surviving are five grandchildren including Cody, Haydn, Emily, Sydney and Gabe as well as siblings Sandra Brenner, Sheila Brown and Stacy Brenner, a brother-in-law, Randy Brown and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Daddy, William Brenner, stepdad Verlin Zurmiller, sister Shawn Brown and nephew Royce Brown as well as brothers Dennis Zurmiller, Rick Zurmiller, Vernon Zurmiller and Larry “Butch” Zurmiller along with her beloved Granny and Grandpa Lincoln and paternal grandparents, Kenny and Lucille Brenner.
