Jean was a devoted homemaker who dedicated much of her life to caring for her family. After her children were in school, she worked at CDS in Wilton for over 10 years. In her free time, Jean enjoyed reading and crocheting. Some of her favorite memories were made while fishing with her grandchildren, sharing her love of the outdoors and spending quality time together. She was also a dedicated Iowa Hawkeye fan, enjoying several bus trips following the men’s basketball team.

Jean also had a special place in her heart for cats. Throughout her life, she rescued cats and gave them a home, earning her the affectionate reputation of being the ultimate cat lady. Her love for animals was an important part of who she was. Jean will be remembered for her love of family, her loyalty to the Hawkeyes, and her compassion for the many cats she wel-comed into her life.

Jean will be dearly missed by her husband, Russ; two children, Russ (Renae) Huesmann, Jr. of Bettendorf, and Terra (Mike) DeGeeter of Davenport; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Heather Martin) Peirce, Kyle (Esme) Huesmann, Payton Cozzens, Tyler Huesmann, Addison Cozzens, Samantha DeGeeter and Isabelle DeGeeter; two brothers, Joe (Lin-da) Hagan and John Hagan; and a sister, JoAnn Spencer.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Betty Hagan; and two broth-ers, Jimmy and Butch Hagan.
