Clara Luz Sterner de Chinchilla (aka Lucy Sterner) was born on July 20, 1946, in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, to Julio Roberto Chinchilla and Julia Cavetana Chinchilla de Jimenez. Lucy returned to her Lord and Savior on May 17, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Bill Sterner, and children, Judy (Brian) Wiley and Mike (Lynn) Sterner, as well as her grandchildren, Cam and Gaby Keith and Jaxen and Denver Sterner. We ask all friends and family to join us on Oct. 17 from 4-8 p.m. in a Celebration of Life to honor her. The celebration will take place at Calvary Church (499 US-61, Muscatine). We invite everyone to wear a touch of purple in her honor. We look forward to sharing the memories and hearing the stories about how Lucy touched the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
