William “Beeler” Sambdman, 92, formerly from Wilton, died on May 14, 2020.

Bill was born on June 25, 1927 to Henry and Irene Sambdman. He attended Wilton schools and that is where he met his wife of 68 years, Ellen Mae Duncan. They were married on Feb. 12, 1951 and lived in Wilton until August 1964, when they moved their family to Buena Park, California.

Bill worked at McDonnel-Douglas for 25 years as a mason at the Torrance facility. After being retired for a few years, he soon found out that retirement life wasn’t for him so he found a part-time job at Cade Auto Auction, and retired from there after 22 years.

He was a loyal member of the local Moose lodge for 40 years. He always had a smile on his face and was always glad to see people.

He is survived by his three children, a daughter-in-law, son-in-law and three grandsons.
