    Janet A. “Net” Guttenfelder, 88, of Durant, died on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the Wilton Retirement Community in Wilton.

    Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 9 at the Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, with an additional hour of visitation one hour prior to the service.

    Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 10 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Durant.

    Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

    Memorials may be directed to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or Durant Firefighters Inc. in her memory.

    Janet was born in Davenport on Jan. 14, 1930, a daughter of Herbert and Viola (Voss) Johansen.

    Net graduated from Durant High School.

    She married Donald R. Guttenfelder on Feb. 11, 1948 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2016.

    Net was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Durant, Country Gardeners and Tri-County Investors. She enjoyed sewing, baking and playing cards. She and Don wintered in Texas for many years.

    Net is survived by her daughters:  Bonnie Oien of Durant, Donette (Mark) Griffin of Blue Grass and Connie Stecher of Stockton; her sons: Ken Guttenfelder of Frisco, Texas and Todd Guttenfelder (Shelley Roberson) of Wilton; foster-sons: Jim and Gary Ralston; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and her brother Ken Johansen of Pleasant Valley.

    She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister Betty Schukar.
