In late 2025, West Liberty’s Father Guillermo Trevino Jr. died suddenly due to complications caused by undiagnosed diabetes. According to public health statistics, it is estimated that over 50 percent of Hispanic adults are expected to develop type 2 diabetes, while one in 10 adults in the U.S. already have diabetes.
