Deborah Sue Cole, age 68, of Bennett, died on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at her home.
A celebration of life will be held from Noon – 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at the Bennett American Legion Post #104. Online condolences may be left at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com.
Deb was born on June 17, 1955, the daughter of Darold and Delores (Ross) Telsrow. She attended Durant High School. She married Lavern Cole on October 21, 1972, in Rock Island, Illinois.
Deb worked at the Davenport Moose Lodge, later working at the Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott, retiring in 2021. Deb and her husband, Lavern enjoyed riding trails in their UTV. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially motorcycle rides and camping. Deb never met a stranger and cherished spending time with her family.
Deb will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Lavern of Bennett; one daughter, Nancy (Todd) Digney of Durant; one son, Lavern (Amy) Cole, Jr. of Bennett; six grandchildren, Chase (Danielle) Cole, Jacob (Jami) Cole, Ryan (Amanda) Digney, Ethan Cole, Alyssa Digney, and Collin Cole; three great grandchildren, Bronson, Thomas and Everly; eight brothers and sisters, Deanna (Jim) Reimers of Davenport, Iowa, Duane "Dewey" Telsrow of Wilton, Iowa, Dale "Browse" Telsrow of Wilton, Douglas (Peg Conrad) Telsrow of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, Dennis Telsrow of West Branch; Cindy Ploog of Charlotte, Iowa, Sally Schmidt of West Branch and Susan Heilmann of West Branch; one sister-in-law, Beth Telsrow of Moscow; and numerous other relatives and friends, especially her best friend since first grade, Deb (Ray) Pratt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Darold and Delores; her mom, Ruby; and one brother, Donavan Telsrow.
