Swift, Ford named to Indian Hills Honor Roll
Indian Hills Community College has released the names of the 511 students who were on the college’s academic Honor Roll for the 2019-20 Spring Term. To be included on the Honor Roll, an IHCC student must be enrolled full time and have a grade point average for the term of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Local students named to the Honor Roll include Abbie Swift of Atalissa, and Kaylee Ford of Wilton.

Amber Snyder named to U. of Wisconsin Dean’s List
The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized students named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester.
Amber Snyder of Wilton, school of nursing, was named to the Dean’s Honor List.

University of Iowa spring President’s List
More than 800 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the president’s list for the 2020 spring semester.
The following local students were named to Iowa’s President’s List: Falloyn Grunder of Wilton, Social Studies Education; Alexandra Reifert of Wilton, Radiation Sciences; Sarah Schemmel of Durant, Speech and Hearing Science; Aubrey Werthmann of Durant, Social Studies Education.

University of Iowa spring Dean’s List
More than 8,500 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the Dean’s List for the 2020 spring semester. Guidelines include students who achieve a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher on nine semester hours (spring 2020) or more of UI graded coursework during a given semester or summer session and who have no semester hours of “I” (incomplete) or “O” (no grade reported) during the same semester are recognized by inclusion on the Dean’s List for that semester.

Iowa State University spring graduates
A virtual commencement ceremony was held this spring at Iowa State University to honor the nearly 5,100 graduates who earned degrees. The traditional on-campus celebrations were moved online as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. University leaders recorded three commencement ceremonies to honor graduates.
Area graduates include Ryan Storjohann of Bennett, Bachelor of Science, Agricultural Engineering; Chloe Hagen of Stockton, Bachelor of Science, Animal Science, Magna Cum Laude; Andrea Figg of Wilton, Bachelor of Science, Family and Consumer Science Education and Studies; Logan Mays of Wilton, Bachelor of Science, Agricultural Engineering; Maddison Nietfeldt of Wilton, Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education, Magna Cum Laude.

Stoskopf graduates from Kirkwood Community College
Brian Stoskopf of Wilton graduated May 16 from Kirkwood Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was held virtually on the college’s website.
