Oakdale Cemetery

The regular meeting of the Wilton Oakdale Cemetery board of trustees was held Thursday, Nov. 12 at the Wilton Depot, due to the renovation being done at the Wilton Meal Site, with the following present: Trustees Dwayne Lenker, Tom Maurer and Becky Hansen. Treasurer Terri Becker was also present.

Dwayne Lenker called the meeting to order.

A motion to approve the Oct. 8 minutes was made by Tom Maurer, seconded by Dwayne Lenker, motion carried.

A motion to approve the treasurer’s report as of Oct. 31 was made by Tom Maurer, seconded by Dwayne Lenker, motion carried.

Old Business: Remaining graves will have more grass seed added before winter.

New Business: Removal of the fence is still in progress. We are not sure when the new fence will be completed.

Bean Brothers poured eight foundations last week.

Howard Tree Service will come this winter to finish the removal of ash trees and more trimming. They will contact Tom or Becky to let them know when the work will start. We may need to remove additional trees that were not on the original bid.

Tom will be putting the metal posts back in on the road by the south bridge.

Becky will put information in the paper for new trustees. The terms of Tom Maurer and Dwayne Lenker will expire at the end of 2020.

A motion to adjourn was made by Tom Maurer, seconded by Becky Hansen, motion carried.

Our next meeting will be Thursday, Dec. 10, at 9 a.m. We will plan to meet at the City Hall (where the old Library was). Meeting was adjourned.
