Twenty-two Wilton JH/HS choir students participated in the River Valley Conference Honor Choir, hosted in Wilton on Oct. 2. Guest conductors Jesse Bunge from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School directed the seventh and eighth grade choir, and Tim McMillin from the Des Moines Metro Opera, Des Moines Vocal Arts Ensemble and Simpson College directed the high school choir. It was a great day of making music, ending with an awesome concert! more
Congratulations goes out to three Wilton JH Choir students for being accepted into the Iowa OPUS Honor Choir. OPUS is the “All State Choir” for fifth-ninth grade students, and is a great achievement! These students will attend rehearsals in Ames on Nov. 16, and culminate the day with a concert in Stephens Auditorium, featuring a fifth and sixth grade mixed choir, and seventh and eighth grade Treble Clef Choir, a seventh and eighth grade Bass Clef Choir and a ninth grade Mixed Choir.  more

On Saturday, Oct. 7, seven Wilton HS Choir basses participated in the RitterSing Tenor/Bass Choir Festival at Wartburg College. The guys got to sing with about 500 other tenors and basses from Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota, as well as one of the best vocal jazz groups in the world, “m-pact.”  more
