Paul Birdsey Luethye, age 69, of Wilton, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Leland Smith Assisted Living, Wilton.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Burial will take place at a later date in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Paul was born on Aug. 12, 1954, the son of Harry and Anna (Shuger) Luethye in Davenport. He graduated from Wilton High School with the Class of 1973. In his younger years, Paul enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball.
Paul worked for Rochester Armored Car Services and Transportation in West Lake, Iowa for twenty years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Wilton. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and reading, especially autobiographies.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Tom (Dawn) Luethye of Wilton and Ova Luethye of Papaaloa, Hawaii; and six nieces, Lisa, Laura, Anne, JoAnn, Michelle and Britni.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Anna; one brother, Clifford Luethye; and one niece, Amy Luethye.
