Frances M. Paustian, 94, of Durant, died on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Visitation was held on Monday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral services at Calvary United Methodist Church in Walcott.

Interment will be in the Durant Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church in her memory.

Frances was born in Centerville, Iowa on April 13, 1924 to Hugh and Alta (Phillips) Price.

She graduated from Centerville High School in 1941. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from Marycrest College in Davenport in 1972.

She married Vernon R. Paustian on Nov. 24, 1943 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1969.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Walcott, Ed White School Retirees, American Legion Auxiliary, Durant Senior Dining and was a lifetime member of NEA. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and making Christmas tree ornaments.

Frances is survived by her daughters: Diana (Mark) Henry of Washington, Iowa, Linda Dahlin (Dale LeClair) of Davenport, Janice (Tom) Keller of Muscatine and Joyce Holtz of Durant; son: Charles (Janet) Paustian of Durant; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; sister Ruth Bruce of Oak Lawn, Illinois; brothers: Roy Price of Elmhurst, Illinois and Lester (Teresa) Price of Chenoa, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter and son-in-law Denise and Kerry O’Toole, son-in-law Gary Holtz and sister Jean Montegna.
