Madeline Grace Maurer and Zachary Ryan Grouwinkel were united in marriage on June 9, 2018 at the Barn at Brophy Creek, Dewitt.
Pastor Nate Montover officiated the 4 p.m. outdoor ceremony. A cocktail hour, dinner, reception and dance were held at the Brophy Creek Barn.
Camille Maurer served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Bollinger, Taylor Treimer and Sydney Grouwinkel. Flower girl was Ava Hochstetler. Personal attendant was Kristin Mitchell.
Serving as best man was Spencer Feldman. Groomsmen were Tyler Feldman, Grant Maurer and Josh Grouwinkel. Ushers were Brett Fick and Conner Szczepaniak. Ring bearers were Gage and Bryson Maurer.
Hosting the reception were Dale and Mary Maurer and Doug and Deanna Hora, aunts and uncles of the bride.
The parents of the couple are Caryl and Gary Maurer of Wilton and Chad and Jennifer Grouwinkel of Ames.
Grandparents of the couple are Mary Ann Maurer and the late Norman Maurer, the late Warren and Elaine Fick, Neil and Elaine Wiele, the late Keith Grouwinkel and Joan Hotopp and the late Ben Hotopp.
Madeline is a graduate of Wilton High School and Iowa State University with a degree in interdisciplinary design. Zachary graduated from Gilbert High School and Iowa State University with a degree in agricultural business.
The couple resides in Wilton. They will honeymoon in the Bahamas at a later date.
