Dean Edward Atkinson, 64, of Lone Tree, died on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Dean was born in Muscatine on April 21, 1959, to Jerry and Naomi (Kavon) Atkinson.
Dean attended Wilton Schools. He was married to Cindy Foor, together they had one son, Jeff. Dean worked with his brother, Tom at AAA Renovation. He enjoyed playing Euchre with his friends in Lone Tree.
Dean will be dearly missed by his mother, Naomi Birkhofer of Moscow; son, Jeff Atkinson of Davenport; sister, Angie (Devin) Embray of Glenwood, IA; brothers: Chris Atkinson of Dayton, IA, Thomas (Rebecca) Atkinson of Muscatine and Jay Atkinson of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his father.
