On Saturday, Nov. 6, Wilton Zion Lutheran Church’s Eventide women’s group will observe Veterans Day and honor all veterans by serving a free breakfast in the church basement, located at 1000 Maurer St. in Wilton.
Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Spouses and family members are welcome, and there will be a donation basket for any civilians who attend. The menu includes egg casserole, fruit, assorted rolls, muffins, coffeecake, juice, milk and coffee.
Iowa Republican Party Chair Jeff Kaufmann will speak to veterans at 9:15 a.m. Also attending will be Sheri Adkison of Wilton, who will be making a presentation on quilts she makes for veterans (free of charge).
