The council scheduled a public hearing for 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, at city hall to amend the budget for fiscal year 2025. City Administrator, Jeff Horne, indicated that this is done each year as projects come up that were not in the original budget. The projects included in this amendment are the fire station roof, the repair of the city hall basement, the new digital city sign, the police shop insulation, and engineering for the splash pad. The amendment would require adding $195,000 to the budget. Horne noted, “There is no change to taxes. It comes from funds on hand.”
