Wilton Bank community shred day Sept. 19

Posted

Wilton Bank will host a free shred day for the community on Saturday, Sept. 19. The event will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Wilton Bank parking lot at 618 W. 5th Street, Wilton.

Get rid of clutter and gain protection from identity theft by safely destroying unwanted, sensitive documents that have been accumulating all year. Documents that should be shredded include: check registers, bank statements, loan or mortgage documents, brokerage statements, credit card statements, contracts, personal business papers, credit card applications, etc.

Any documents that contain information that may be identifying such as address, date of birth, social security numbers, or passwords should be shredded.

Wilton Bank is proud to offer this service for free of charge to the community. Community members are allowed to bring up to three bags of paperwork to shred. For questions or more information, contact Wilton Bank at 563-732-3211.
