Sights from 2019 Wilton Window Walk

Posted

The Wilton Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Window Walk Dec. 8. The streets of downtown Wilton were packed with families and perhaps more children than ever before. There were several business open houses, coupled with a new location for Santa and Mrs. Claus — Fred Grunder's building under renovation in the heart of Fourth Street. The Grinch was even present for fun and photos while people were in long lines waiting to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Santa and Mrs. Claus met with people moments prior to lighting the community Christmas tree in front of the Wilton Community Room. Wilton High School students Grace Longlett and Anna Marine played and sang Christmas songs on Fourth Street in front of the entrance to see Santa, another new addition to the downtown festivities. Also, 2019 marked the third year for a children's scavenger hunt, taking area youth to several different businesses to collect pieces to build their own Christmas tree ornament.
