The family of Vera Sessler is requesting a card shower in honor of her 100th birthday.
Vera Ihlefeld was born on the Ihlefeld family farm outside of Davenport May 20, 1922. She had four siblings: Erna Lo- gan, Bruno Ihlefeld, and Albert Ihlefeld.
She married Arthur Sessler March 17, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport. They farmed for 50 years outside of Durant. Arthur passed away August 15, 2002.
Vera is devoted to her friends and her church, Zion Lutheran in Wilton.
Her children are Richard (Mary Alice) Sessler of Muscatine, Roger (Lisa) Ses- sler of Wilton, and Janet (Mark) Carroll of LeClaire. She has four children and two great grandchildren.
